Police are looking for Jackass alum Bam Margera

A manhunt is underway for Jackass alum Bam Margera after he allegedly checked himself out of a rehab facility in Florida he had been attending under a court order.

Police records obtained by DailyMail.com show that Margera told the manager at the facility he was unhappy with the treatment he was receiving, and would be checking himself into another rehab center in the area – apparently RECO Intensive.

The manager then reported to the police he saw Margera leaving in a black Honda sedan at around 8pm on Monday, and authorities have continued to search for him ever since.

They say he does not appear to be a danger to himself or others, and his friends and family are reportedly working hard to get him back into the facility, according to the

Meanwhile, Margera posted a photo to his Instagram on Tuesday fist-bumping with his ‘new Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor.’

‘MMA fighter, chiropractor and 10 years sober Dominick, is my new AA sponsor #f-kYeah,’ he captioned the post.

He also added a selfie to his Instagram Story showing him with his wife, Nicole Boyd, and www.blindmorality.com/ rapper Machine Gun Kelly – who was performing in Florida Tuesday night.

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Bam Margera for comment.

Margera first entered the Delray Beach facility in September under police escort, after authorities were called about an ’emotionally distressed person.’

He celebrated ‘one year of treatment’ for drug and alcohol abuse last month, and had said at the time he planned on attending outpatient treatment classes for the next two months.

But Margera has reportedly been having problems with the facility.

After the television star broke his right wrist ‘for the 10th time’ and dislocated his right elbow while skateboarding last month, he refused pain medication due to his sobriety – but then blamed rehab-staffers for not setting up a physical therapy appointment.

The Pennsylvania-born star was attempting a trick that he hadn’t tried in a year at a Florida skatepark during a 30-minute break at a nearby AA meeting when his arm bent backwards – according to

Margera has long had a history of substance abuse issues with the pro-skateboarder having to check into a hospital in 2019 to treat an edema apparently caused by excessive drinking.

More recently, Margera was kicked off the latest Jackass project for failing to abide by conditions set forth by the producers relating to his addiction issues.

They were reportedly worried about his addiction issues and erratic behavior – for which he has recently explained he suffers from manic bipolar disorder – but wanted him to be a part of the project.

So, insiders have revealed, in order to remain a part of Jackass Forever, the producers required Margera to sign a Wellness Agreement under which he would agree to continue taking his medication, regularly blow into a breathalyzer, stay sober, see a psychologist and take routine drug tests.

During an interview in April, he listed a host of drugs the rehabilitation ordered him to be on for his release, including Zoloft, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, and Klonopin.

‘This is what the doctors say I need,’ he said. ‘And then it led to suicidal tendencies on all 18 medications I was on. I’m like, well what’s the point of a $5 million contract that I have to walk on eggshells and jump through your hoops, which is already impossible, to obey if I’m dead?’

When asked about Jackass 4 producers demands, Bam noted: ‘It was the definition of f***in torture,’ he said. ‘They tortured me.’

He was then fired from the project after testing positive for Adderall, though he claimed in a wrongful termination lawsuit that the producers knew he had been taking for a decade to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.

Margera claimed in the lawsuit that the Wellness Agreement he signed – allegedly without a lawyer present – was unfair.

‘Margera was made to endure psychological torture in the form of a sham Wellness Agreement, and then ultimately terminated for his protected class status due to his mental condition, and his complaints about Defendants’ discriminatory conduct towards him,’ the lawsuit read, according to the New York Post.

Paramount+ is currently developing a reboot of the Jackass series, but it’s unclear if Margera will be involved after Jackass producer Jeff Tremaine was granted a restraining order against Margera last year – after he allegedly threatened Tremaine’s family.
